Pelaksanaan Zakat Fitrah Pada Tradisi Pandhabah Menurut Perspektif ‘Urf

Abstract

The Pandhabah tradition contains its own meaning, so it is still maintained to this day. Pandhabah children are children who are the only sex in a brotherhood of at least 3 brothers and after this tradition is carried out there is a new law, namely the fulfillment of zakat fitrah by Pandhabah brothers to Pandhabah children every year. The majority of fiqh experts stipulate that the husband is obliged to pay his wife's zakat, because the wife's needs are the responsibility of the husband. Meanwhile, in this tradition, Pandhabah's children are the responsibility of their siblings even though their parents or husband are still around. This study aims to determine the implementation of zakat fitrah in the Pandhabah tradition in terms of the concept of 'urf. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of field research, namely conducting interviews with the community in Bicorong Village. The implementation of zakat fitrah that occurs because of the Pandhabah tradition includes 'urf fasid when viewed from the side of fulfilling the responsibility of zakat fitrah to pandhabah children who already have husbands, because this habit is slightly contrary to Islamic law between brothers.
