PENENTUAN JARAK OPTIMAL GUNA MEMINIMALKAN BIAYA TRANSPORTASI MENGGUNAKAN METODE MINIMAL SPANNING TREE

Abstract

ABSTRAK

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri mebel dan ukir kayu, dengan hasil produksinya berupa almari, buffet, kursi dan meja tamu, kursi teras, jam hias, relief serta soufenir. Hasil produksi tersebut didistribusikan oleh perusahaan secara langsung ke daerah pemasarannya menggunakan armada milik perusahaan yaitu truk dan mobil pick up. Dalam operasionalnya, perusahaan mengeluarkan biaya transportasi yang cukup besar, yang menyebabkan perusahaan kehilangan kesempatan untuk memperoleh keuntungan seperti yang diharapkannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meminimumkan biaya transportasi, Dengan menggunakan analisa jarak tempuh optimal dan Metode Minimal Spanning Tree, dapat memberikan solusi optimal dengan menghasilkan total jarak tempuh yang minimal dengan prosedur penghubungan langsung pada titik-titik (node) yang ada pada sebuah jaringan seperti pada jaringan distribusi. Hasil perhitungan biaya transportasi distribusi produk setelah analisa menggunakan metode Minimal Spanning Tree ini dapat memberikan penghematan biaya transportasi pada bulan Juli 2010 sebesar Rp.659.800 atau dengan persentase sebesar 8,9 % dan penghematan pada bulan Agustus sebesar Rp.1.837.500 dengan persentase sebesar 20,69 %.

ABSTRACT

PT. XYZ is a company in the furniture and wood carving field, with its products such as cabinets, buffets, chairs and coffee table, patio chairs, decorative clock, reliefs and soufenir. The output was distributed by the company directly to the area of marketing that uses the company's fleet of trucks and pick ups. In operation, the company issued a sizable transportation costs, which caused the company to lose the opportunity to gain as he had hoped. This research is aims to minimize transportation costs, the use of analysis of optimum mileage and Minimal Spanning Tree method, can provide the optimal solution to produce a minimum total mileage by directly linking procedures at points (nodes) that exist on a network such as distribution network . The results of the calculation of the cost of transporting the product distribution after analysis using Minimal Spanning Tree method is able to provide transportation cost savings in July 2010 amounted to Rp.659.800 or by a percentage of 8.9% and savings in August of Rp.1.837.500 with a percentage of 20 , 69%.
